More road rehabilitation and stabilisation works for Wagga Wagga

24 December 2024

A new package of roadworks will be undertaken in Wagga Wagga in the new year, continuing the rollout of Council’s major roadworks rehabilitation program that began in January 2024.

At its Ordinary Meeting on Monday 16 December, Councillors accepted the offer of Fulton Hogan Industries for a package of rehabilitation works at various locations in Wagga Wagga.

Council has identified eight locations across the city and suburbs for the road rehabilitation works: Ziegler Avenue, Tobruk Street, Tobruk Street/Ashmont Avenue intersection, Undurra Drive, Saxon Street, Hampden Avenue, Fay Avenue and Cootamundra Boulevard.

This latest package is part of the 2024/25 pavement in-situ stabilisation and asphalt wearing course program.

A schedule of works for the new package will be developed once the contracts have been finalised, but it is anticipated that it will get underway in January 2025.

The completion of these works is funded from within Council’s recurrent Pavement Rehabilitation Program, along with the Federal Government’s Roads to Recovery.
