A third round of information sessions have been held by Council for the residents, business owners and education providers in the Plumpton Road Upgrade project area.

Council staff were on hand on Monday 14 and Tuesday 15 July 2025 to provide updates on:

• current project activities
• outcomes of Councils’ applications made to Transport for NSW seeking traffic lights
• reference design
• tender process for the design and construction contract

Council tendered the project in late April 2025 with the submission period closing in late June. Evaluations are currently underway and, subject to Council resolution, the contract will be awarded in August.

Attendees at each session were able to view a copy of the reference design for the upgrade of Plumpton Road and to ask questions of the Project Delivery team.

Council continues to appreciate the ongoing community input and remains committed to keeping directly impacted stakeholders informed as the project progresses.

Further information sessions are planned for October 2025. Council staff, together with the appointed contractor, will be able provide more detail of construction and staging plans.
