Service Location Works
These works are designed to determine the locations of existing services in the project area and will assist in the planning of preparation works related to road duplication. They’re likely to start late August 2024, and last for approximately 6 weeks.

How will these works affect me?
Some lane closures will be required as potholing is completed on buried services. Potentially, some potholing will also occur where services run in easements through private property. When and if this happens, property owners will be consulted directly.

Geotechnical Investigations
These investigative works are designed to assist in better understanding the existing pavement and ground conditions of the site, in preparation for the Design phase. They’re likely to start late August / early September 2024, and last for approximately 1 week.

How will these works affect me? Some lane closures will be required as core samples are extracted from the existing road pavement.

Detailed Surveying
These detailed survey works will play a key role in preparing effectively for design work to commence. They’re likely to start in September 2024, and last for approximately 4 weeks.

How will these works affect me? Some lane closures will be required to enable a survey of the road pavement. Contractors will be surveying on private property in some locations – when and if this happens, property owners will be consulted directly.
