At the end of 2025, Council held four playground consultations to choose new designs for parks located at Hardy Avenue in Central Wagga Wagga (near Calvary Hospital), Jack Misson Oval in Ashmont, Rotaract Park in Kooringal, and Forest Hill Oval.

Hardy Avenue’s winning design was Option One, featuring a triple swing, large double slide, overhead challenge ladder and rope bridges amongst its fun features.

Option Three was chosen for Jack Misson Oval. This design has a triple swing with bird's nest, a sensory activity panel, large single slide, fire pole, and various other climbing features.

Rotaract Park in Kooringal will feature design Option One, which includes a double swing with nest seat, overhead net with loops, tunnel, medium slide, see-saw, and metal loop climber.

Forest Hill Oval’s playground will be replaced with Option One – featuring a triple swing with bird's nest, inclusive carousel, adventure tower, multi climbing rope cube, see-saw, small double slide, balance beam, and more.

Council aims to commence construction on the winning playground designs in March to April 2026.
