Council Meeting Report Postponed

26 March 2020

Council recently notified that an upcoming report on the proposed future development of the Morgan, Murray and Forsyth Street mixed use area was to be considered at the Council Meeting scheduled for Monday 30 March 2020.

The NSW State Government made legislative changes to facilitate Ordinary Meetings of Council to be held electronically. This means Councillors can attend and participate in the meeting via electronic means. The meetings must be live streamed to the public. These changes will ensure the health and safety of Councillors, staff and the community is maintained in accordance with current guidelines.

Given this will be the first meeting of this nature for Council and the significance of discussions relating to COVID-19, it has been determined that other Council business, including the Morgan, Murray and Forsyth Streets matter will be postponed to a future date. This will ensure our electronic systems for community participation are functioning and tested before the item is in a future meeting agenda for Council.

When appropriate, the report will be rescheduled for a Council meeting and further notices will be provided.

We apologise for any inconvenience or confusion and appreciate your assistance and understanding in these ever-changing times.
