About Tarcutta
Halfway between Sydney and Melbourne, Tarcutta is a popular village that rests on the Hume Highway about 40km southwest of Wagga Wagga.
Tarcutta has a population of 425 as of the 2021 census, and is a regular stopping point and changeover for truck drivers.
The local café, frequented by travellers, was made famous in poems by Les Murray and Bruce Dawe.
