Works to upgrade the Livestock Marketing Centre (LMC) are progressing effectively, with multiple projects reaching key milestones in recent weeks.

Cattle & Sheep Ramp Realignment
All six new cattle ramps have now been installed, handed over, and are fully operational. Eight of the nine new sheep ramps are also complete and in use. Demolition of the final sheep ramp is finished, with concreting works underway and offsite construction progressing. The final ramp is on track for completion by mid-November 2025.

Sheep & Goat Electronic Identification (EiD) System Feasibility Study
The generator has been installed, and electrical cabling is now in progress. This stage of the project is expected to be completed by mid-September 2025.

Canteen Refurbishment
Refurbishment of the LMC canteen has been successfully completed. The upgraded facility was handed over and officially reopened on 26 August 2025.

Landscaping & Signage
Tree planting has been finalised and irrigation works are underway. New signage is scheduled for delivery in early September 2025, with installation to follow shortly after materials have been received. These site improvements are on track to be completed by the end of September 2025.

All works are undertaken as weather conditions and contractor availability permit.
