Forest Hill Link updates

5 August 2024

In July 2019, Council approved the Forest Hill link utilising Kyeamba Avenue and the rail corridor east of Bakers Lane to link the suburb of Forest Hill with Kooringal.

The path will run down the southern side of the railway corridor.

Detailed designs have been completed, however since March 2021 Wagga Wagga City Council has been seeking approvals from Transport for NSW to use the rail corridor. To date (August 2024) these approvals have not yet been obtained.

In September 2022, work to construct a one-kilometre shared path and two pedestrian foot bridges between Kooringal Road and Vincent Road was undertaken.

In August 2023, two bridges were placed over Marhshall’s Creek as part of the Forest Hill Link.

The most recent update on 9 July 2024, reveals line-marking was undertaken on the shared path between Kooringal Road and Vincent Road.

Follow up works to install security fencing along this portion of the Forest Hill link, are set to commence in the coming weeks.
