How to: Volunteer!

Volunteering is a great way to learn new things, meet new people (hopefully friends!) and help out your local community.

Research by Volunteering NSW reveals that volunteering also benefits volunteers themselves. It reduces symptoms of depression, improves self-reported health and lowers mortality. Volunteering expands people’s social networks, provides opportunities to gain valuable experience, and enables people to develop new skills which can lead to employment.

Not sure how to get started? There are lots of places to volunteer and sometimes it might be about just trying a few different things before you find a passion.

In Wagga Wagga organisations like RSPCA, Vinnies, Land Care, PCYC and Rotaract are always looking for new members and volunteers to keep projects going!
