Overview
Wagga Wagga City Council is preparing for the next Kerbside Collection Contract, due to commence in 2027/28.
We want to ensure our waste services continue to meet community needs. To do that, we are seeking feedback on whether rural services should be included in the new contract.
Why your feedback matters
Many rural residents currently manage their own waste or use nearby transfer stations.
We’re particularly seeking input from rural townships to help determine whether kerbside collection should be extended to these areas as part of the next contract.
Our goal is to deliver a best-practice kerbside service that works for everyone. Your input will help shape how waste is collected into the future and ensure the service continues to meet community needs.
Where can I find out more?
We will be hosting consultation sessions throughout November 2025 to gather feedback on the proposed kerbside service. A list of dates, times and locations are included on this page.
These sessions are an opportunity to speak with Council staff, learn more, ask questions, and share your views.
How do I provide feedback?
For those able to attend an information session, you will have the option to provide your feedback to one of our friendly staff in attendance. Can't make it to an in-person event? No worries at all. You can also provide your feedback online through the survey below.
