At its Ordinary Meeting on 13 April 2026, Council endorsed entering into negotiations for the design and construction of the Lake Albert Pump Station as part of the Lake Albert Pipeline Project.

In March, Council accepted a tender for the construction of a pipeline between the Murrumbidgee River and Lake Albert.

Inlet works to the lake have been undertaken ahead of the wider project, with the culvert crossing installed under Lake Albert Road at the end of 2025.

These works were completed early to limit the impacts on road users during Plumpton Road construction.
