Foreshore improvements at Lake Albert are on track, with vegetation removal works undertaken near the Golf Course now complete. Vegetation removed was previously identified as impacting general safety - including water safety - in the area. Erosion remediation works are making good progress overcoming the recent inclement weather. Works will soon be complete on the western side of the lake and contractors will progress to the southern side of the lake.

Overall, contractors and dedicated working groups are continuing to work in line with seasonal conditions and make best use of the right weather at key times, in order to ensure progress continues on schedule.

Looking ahead, remediation will continue in sections around the lake foreshore as required until this aspect of project delivery is complete. During this time, pedestrians and cyclists are asked to follow all safety signage and detours in place to help keep both the community and construction crews safe.
