Overview
Council will receive four (4) new lots of land through the dedication process following the registration of the subdivision of residue land at 80 Lingiari Drive, Lloyd.
The lots contain easements benefiting Council and service authorities, including for water drainage, gas distribution and easement to drain sewage.
Given that the dedicated lots of land are affected by easements benefiting service authorities and/or Council, their classification as community land is not considered appropriate. Council is therefore looking to initially classify the land as operational land.
A report was presented at the 9 February 2026 Ordinary Meeting, where Council resolved to support, in principle and subject to public exhibition, the classification of the acquired land as operational land under section 34 of the Local Government Act 1993.
Council is now seeking community feedback on this proposed land classification.
Public Exhibition
The public exhibition period will be open for 28 days from 16 February 2025 to 16 March 2025.
Upon completion of the public exhibition period a further report will be provided to Council noting any submissions received and seeking an endorsement of a final resolution to classify Lots 281, 282, 283 and 284 in DP XX as operational land.
The plan of subdivision that will create Lots 281, 282, 283 and 284 is awaiting registration. Upon registration, the unique DP number will be applied.
The proposed report’s recommendation to go back to Council at the end of the public exhibition period is as follows:
That Council:
(a) Note x submissions received during the public exhibition and noted in the body of the report
(b) Classify the land described as Lots 281, 282, 238 & 284 in Deposited Plan XX as operational land in accordance with section 31(2) of the Local Government Act 1993
Submissions can be made via the form below.
