Overview
Council will receive one (1) new lot of land through the dedication process following the registration of the subdivision of residue land at Lot 574 of the site formerly identified as 1 Waterhouse Avenue, Lloyd. This site has been subdivided into 24 lots, and is now identified as 9A Goldstein Crescent.
The dedicated lot of land located at this site contains easements benefiting Council including an easement to drain sewage.
Given that the lot is affected by easements benefiting Council, its classification as community land is not considered appropriate. Council is therefore looking to initially classify the land as operational land.
A report was presented at the 9 February 2026 Ordinary Meeting, where Council resolved to support, in principle and subject to public exhibition, the classification of the acquired land as operational land under section 34 of the Local Government Act 1993.
Council is now seeking community feedback on this proposed land classification.
Public Exhibition
The public exhibition period will be open for 28 days from 16 February 2025 to 16 March 2025.
Upon completion of the public exhibition period a further report will be provided to Council noting any submissions received and seeking an endorsement of a final resolution to classify Lot 574 in DP1323032 as operational land.
The proposed report’s recommendation to go back to Council at the end of the public exhibition period is as follows:
That Council:
(a) Note x submissions received during the public exhibition and noted in the body of the report
(b) Classify the land described as 'Lot 574 in Deposited Plan 1323032' as operational land in accordance with section 31(2) of the Local Government Act 1993
Submissions can be made via the form below.
