Council endorsed the public exhibition of the Draft Stormwater Policy (POL 037) at its Monday 21 July Ordinary Council meeting.
Public exhibition is for a period of 28 days from 22 July and Council invites public submissions until 31 August 2025.
About the Policy
The current Stormwater Policy (POL 037) is a large document that encompasses various aspects of stormwater management and infrastructure. The size and complexity of the current document makes the document hard to understand and can cause some confusion. The scope of the review was written around removing distinct components and creating a standalone policy being the Building in the Vicinity of underground assets policy.
The body of the Policy has undergone a major realignment as well setting a more strategic purpose for the document referencing documentation such as the Engineering Guidelines and Major Overland Flow studies as the working documentation.
