Overview
Council endorsed the public exhibition of the Draft Kerbside Collection Services Policy (POL 016) at its Monday 21 July Ordinary Council meeting.
Public exhibition is for a period of 28 days from 22 July and Council invites public submissions until 31 August 2025.
About the Policy
As part of the scheduled review of the Replacement of Stolen or Damaged Kerbside Collection Bins Policy (POL 016), Council officers have undertaken a comprehensive update and expansion of the policy, incorporating it into a broader framework titled Kerbside Collection Services Policy (POL 016). This change ensures a consolidated approach to kerbside waste management, including bin replacement, service eligibility, contamination controls, and operational responsibilities for both residential and non-residential properties.
The renamed and expanded policy improves clarity and service transparency, aligns with Council’s operational practices and environmental objectives, and ensures consistency across all aspects of kerbside collection service delivery.
