Overview
At the 28 April 2025 Ordinary Meeting, Council resolved to proceed with the purchase of land adjacent to the Gregadoo Waste Management Centre (GWMC), located at 232 Ashfords Road, Gregadoo. The land is intended to support the future expansion of the GWMC.
A further report was presented at the 23 June 2025 Ordinary Meeting, where Council resolved to support, in principle and subject to public exhibition, the classification of the acquired land as operational land under section 34 of the Local Government Act 1993.
Council is now seeking community feedback on this proposed land classification
Public Exhibition
The public exhibition period will be open for 28 days from 17 July 2025 to 14 August 2025.
Upon completion of the public exhibition period a further report will be provided to Council noting any submissions received and seeking an endorsement of a final resolution to classify Lot DP 1278152 as operational land.
The proposed report’s recommendation to go back to Council at the end of the public exhibition period is as follows:
That Council:
- Note x submissions received during the public exhibition and noted in the body of the report
- Classify the land described as Lot 2 in Deposited Plan 1143881 and identified as 232 Ashfords Road, Gregadoo as operational land in accordance with section 31(2) of the Local Government Act 1993
