About the program
Following the detection of low levels of PFAS in bores that provide residential water supply, the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) is working with stakeholders with regard to the testing of private bores in Tarcutta. This testing is scheduled to occur as part of a NSW Government bore water screening program.
The EPA will be offering this opt-in screening service, free of charge, on Wednesday 11 June and Thursday 12 June 2025.
If you have a private bore on your property, you can register for this testing by completing the form below.
Town tap water is safe to drink and use.
How to Register
If you would like your bore water sampled, we ask that you please complete the registration form provided below by no later than midday (12pm) Friday 6 June 2025.
Please note that you will be required to attend the property at the scheduled time and will also be asked to provide your signed consent form on your sampling day.
If you are not the occupier, consent is required from both the owner and the occupier of the property to complete the sampling.
By completing the form below you are confirming that you would like sampling to be undertaken at a bore on a property where you are the owner and/ or the occupier. The form contains a lot of information to assist us in determining how many bores require testing, so your attention to filling in the form thoroughly is appreciated.
After submitting the form an appointment will be made and confirmed with you, and the consent form will be sent to you.
If you have any further questions about the bore screening program, please contact the EPA via email RegOps.IMEH@epa.nsw.gov.au or phone 131 555.
On the day
We ask that any animals on the property are secured, where appropriate, to assist NSW EPA representatives with accessing your bore in order to take the required groundwater sample. Don't forget to bring your signed consent form.
