Overview
Council proposes to make a change to the Wagga Wagga Local Infrastructure Contributions Plan 2019-2034 to include the following works in Blake Street.
- reconfiguration of the existing on-street car parking between Morgan and Forsyth Streets from parallel parking to angle parking
- reconfiguration of existing road design including the installation of new traffic calming devices at either end of Blake Street
- establishment of new line marking and signage including the designation of disabled car parking spaces
- removal of existing street trees and replacement with crepe myrtles
- replacement and upgrade to 2.5-metre-wide footpaths on the western side of Blake Street
- landscaping and installation of three lights in the Blake Street Council carpark.
The developer of 12 Blake Street Wagga Wagga has offered to enter into a works in kind agreement with Council to construct the new proposed works in the Local Infrastructure Contributions Plan. The development of 12 Blake Street is detailed in DA19/0125.
The changes to the Local Infrastructure Contributions Plan and the draft works in kind agreement are on public exhibition.
Community members are encouraged to review the changes and works in kind agreement and make a submission before 30 September 2024.
