Works are progressing well at Jubilee Park with the upgrade of the Bill Jacob Athletics Centre, despite the rolling effects of seasonal weather experienced on the project during winter.

Infield topsoil has been spread, pavement and retaining wall construction works are nearing completion, and preparations continue in earnest for the asphalt layer of the track to be placed in the coming weeks.

Placement of the asphalt layer is a key milestone for the project, with the level required to cure for a month before becoming the foundation for the track surface.
