On Monday 30 May the community held a screening of the documentary "Occupation: Native" in the Wagga Wagga Council Chambers.

Occupation: Native was released in 2017 by Writer and Director Trisha Morton-Thomas. It tells Australian history from the Aboriginal point of view, revealing how the culture and history of the Aboriginal people has been misrepresented throughout history since the arrival of Europeans.

It balances the serious truth telling in the film with comedic skits and cartoons to raise some important questions that gave the attendees much to discuss and reflect on after the screening.
