Overview
At its Ordinary Meeting on 19 January 2026, Council resolved to proceed with the purchase of land at 216 Ashfords Road, Gregadoo. Council also resolved, subject to public exhibition, to classify the acquired land as operational land in accordance with section 34 of the Local Government Act 1993.
The property is bordered on three sides by the recently acquired land at 232 Ashfords Road. The newly acquired property and 232 Ashfords Road Gregadoo together share a common boundary with the Gregadoo Waste Management Centre. The acquisition of this property supports Council’s long-term strategic planning and operational opportunities for Gregadoo Waste Management Centre.

Public Exhibition
The public exhibition period will be open for 28 days from 5 June 2026 to 3 July 2026.
Upon completion of the public exhibition period a further report will be provided to Council noting any submissions received and seeking an endorsement of a final resolution to classify Lot 1 in Deposited Plan 1143881 as operational land.
The proposed report’s recommendation to go back to Council at the end of the public exhibition period is as follows:
That Council:
(a) Note x submissions received during the public exhibition and noted in the body of the report
(b) Classify the land described as Lot 1 in Deposited Plan 1143881 and identified as 216 Ashfords Road, Gregadoo as operational land in accordance with section 31(2) of the Local Government Act 1993
